IRIS project, to which Foundation Victoria is a party, was the one which was selected for funding in the framework of EU Programme “INTERREG Baltic Sea Region 2014-2020”.
The second call for applications of Interreg Baltic Sea Region yielded 75 project applications. These applications included more than 900 partners - authorities from different levels, research and training institutions, sectoral agencies and NGOs from around the Baltic Sea. And as many as 39 projects (and only 15 including partners from Russia) were chosen for funding at the Programme Monitoring Committee`s meeting held in Helsinki in the end of May 2017. The projects cover all three Programme's thematic fields: capacity for innovation, management of natural resources and sustainable transport.

In this way, IRIS contributes to the development of the Baltic Sea region as a dynamic, innovative and business-driven region.
The project partnership comprises 14 business and innovation support institutions from all countries of the Baltic rim. The Nordic Council of Ministers is an Associated Partner to IRIS. Project implementation period: 2017-2010. Project budget: 2 688 984 Euro.
